My-Channels, provider of unified enterprise, web and mobile middle ware has announced the release of its Nirvana Middle ware client API for .NET Compact Framework.

The Nirvana Compact Framework API provides .NET mobile developers with a high-performance solution for real-time message delivery between Windows Mobile devices and enterprise, web and many other mobile clients.

Developers can also add powerful guaranteed messaging capabilities to existing .NET Compact Framework applications quickly and reliably using this comprehensive API.

The API supports .NET Compact Framework 3.5 development with Visual Studio 2008, and has been tested with popular commercial hand held devices running Windows Mobile 5 and6. The pure .NET Nirvana API is processor-independent, and can run on any device supported by Compact Framework without the need for recompilation on a per-device basis.

"The Nirvana Compact Framework API is a great addition to the Windows Mobile developer's tool set, providing the means to reliably publish and subscribe to events in real-time, consume or write to message queues and communicate with peer to peer services on arbitrary systems and devices," said Paul Weiss,Nirvana product manager at my-Channels.

"This API helps our customers distribute their data to an ever-growing range of mobile devices and platforms which includes Windows Mobile, Android, iPhone, Black Berryand J2ME," added Weiss.
