Over 35 companies conducted student interviews at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) during the cluster-2 of summer placements on Monday. Microsoft made the highest number of offers during the day.

Summer placements were offered to first year students of the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGP). Various companies visited the campus offering students to intern with them next summer.

The cluster-2 comprised of cohorts like FMCG marketing, business development and strategy, Indian banking, general management, venture capital and investment management firms. Companies like Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Procter and Gamble, Microsoft, Citibank, Reliance Industries Limited, Edelweiss Capital and others were present for recruitments, along with Google, a regular recruiter for the final placement process.

The highest recruiter of the day, Microsoft, offered roles in programme management and marketing. IIM-A, however, has been tightlipped about the numbers this year. Google hired students for projects in sales and marketing and Amazon offered the students roles in supply chain management.

The cluster included first-time recruiters like Groupon who offered students roles in business development and strategy functions.

The summer placement at IIM-A this year began on November 1. While the next cluster is scheduled for November 17, the placement will end on November 18.
