IT spending by enterprises is expected togrow at a substantial pace to touch USD 40 billion in three years,according to Gartner.

Insurance watchdog IRDA has shortlisted IT biggies Tata ConsultancyServices (TCS), Mahindra Satyam, Deloitte, Infosys and Wipro forimplementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) package to deal withits proposed staff expansion.

India’s big three software outsourcing firms are set to regain double-digit growth rates during the second quarter.

Global IT research firm Gartner hasprojected that enterprise spending on information technology in thecountry, would see an average compound annual growth of 11 per cent.

"Enterprise IT spending is expected to see good growth in the comingyears. Going by estimates, the expenditure is likely to reach aroundUSD 40 billion by 2013," Gartner's Vice President Rakesh L Kumar toldPTI.
