HP Launches Affordable Netbook for Students

HP has launched a new netbook for students and business users, the Mini 1104. The new HP Mini 1104 looks similar to other HP business netbooks and measures 10.6 x 7.5 x 0.9 inches and weighs about 1.26 kilograms. HP Mini 1104 sports 10.1 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels of resolution and is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, Intel GMA 3600 integrated Graphics card.

It features VGA webcam, keyboard with spill resistant (water proof), multi-touch capacitive touchpad and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit operating system. For connectivity it has three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet jack, VGA port, headset jack, SD card slot, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ (optional) and Bluetooth. It is available in two models, with 3 cell battery and 6 cell battery, the company claim that the 6 cell battery can provide up to 9 hours of continues usage. Currently Mini 1104 is available only in the U.S. market for $399, the company has not yet declared its availability worldwide.
