While concrete details regarding content and prices are presentlyhard to come by, Google has at least offered that Twitter app Tweetdeckwill be available, as will popular videogame titles such as Plants vs.Zombies and LEGO Star Wars: The Quest for R2-D2.
Google’s software platform differs from rival offerings (i.e.,Apple’s App Store) insofar as it’s been designed to work directly withChrome OS, which itself will rely on browser access to run applications through cheap Netbook computers without hard drive capabilities.
In terms of the Chrome Web Store’s potential market success, Googleis confident its browser-based app store will find traction thanks tothe 70 million people already using Chrome as an online alternative tothe likes of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox.
